Description:
Border Forsythia is a fast-growing, early-blooming deciduous shrub. One of the first plants to offer spring color, its bright yellow flowers bloom March-April before its leaves emerge. Any pruning should be done immediately after flowering, since a Border Forsythia sets its flower buds soon after new growth appears. This plant tolerates urban environments and poor soil quality. It can provide cover and nesting sites for wildlife. Use as a specimen, or plant in groups for a border or hedge.
