Sisyrinchium angustifolium
Blue-eyed Grass
Blue-eyed Grass has petite blue flowers with yellow centers, which bloom on stalks above grass-like leaves, May-June.
Description:
Blue-eyed Grass has petite blue flowers with yellow centers, which bloom on stalks above grass-like leaves, May-June. The flowers resemble “blue eyes,” giving this plant its common name. The grass-like leaves form small, mounded clumps. The clumps may slowly spread, providing a groundcover and helping to lock-in moisture in the soil. It grows best planted in consistently moist soil, but can tolerate some drought, once established. Blue-eyed Grass is a member of the Iris Family. Use Blue-eyed Grass for edging, groundcover, and naturalizing. Plant in masses or groupings for best appeal.
