Description:
Individual spikes house whorls of small yellow 5-petaled flowers that tower over the foliage. Leaves consist of several large and small leaflets, which grow in abundance and offer interest and texture. Woodland Agrimony prefers moist, humus-rich neutral or slightly acidic soil. It can tolerate both sun and shade, although its preference is partial shade. It grows naturally in woodland edges, meadows and fields. Pair with Wingstem (Verbesina alternifolia) and New York Ironweed (Vernonia versiculata).
Wildlife Value: Attracts bees, butterflies and other beneficial insects.
