Description:

Virginia Mountain Mint is an easy-to-grow, wildlife-friendly, deer-resistant perennial in the Lamiaceae (mint) family. Its terminal clusters of tiny, white flowers, often spotted with purple, bloom July to September. The leaves have a fragrant, mint-like aroma when crushed. Virginia Mountain Mint tolerates bright shade, but produces more flowers in full sun.

Wildlife Value:  Virginia Mountain Mint flowers are a valued nectar source for pollinators, including native bees and wasps, as well as beneficial insects. Pycnanthemum means “densely flowered,” a characteristic that enables many pollinators to visit at the same time.
